Some thoughts about Vigilante: Southland #3

Vigilante's mission continues.

Donny is still investigating about his girlfriend's murder while several other people around him are dying.

Yeah, that summary is short because there's not a lot to say.

Cary Phillips continues his story and there are some interesting aspects here. For one, I think the writing itself solid with natural dialogue and appropriate transitions while developing different segments at the same time. The character is okay for the most part.

The problems comes with the overall progress of the story. The mystery itself is not that interesting and its development is pretty slow, for that reason it doesn't seem like there's a lot of plot progression which hurts the pacing. Plus, Donny's personality is not unique enough to be invested in him and his motivation about his death girlfriend is pretty weak.

And the promised social commentary is still not that relevant or deep sadly.

Elena Casagrande's artwork is highlight thanks to her detailed settings, action scenes and characters that bring life to the script.

Other than that, I don't think I will keep bothering with this.
