The Justice League is about to find even more old members.
Blue Beetle and Booster Gold are trying to survive the strange new environment where they have awaken and The Flash has just discovered that Ice from the Justice League International is still alive somehow. However, things will get a bit more complicated once that they find another of their long-lost friends.
The development of the JLI successfully continues in this chapter.
Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis not only bring back the kind of humourous writing style that made them famous in the Justice League franchise but they're also modernizing some of the classic characters from that era. Bluee Beetle and Booster Gold's dynamic is once again hilarious while Ice's reintroduction presents interesting new directions, especially considering that means that yet another beloved character is going to appear.
The dialogue is solid with every member of the cast delivering a lot of information about their current state while also serving for the typical jokes that fortunately work well. The worldbuilding is also pretty nice due that the writer continue revealing new settings of this universe.
Howard Porter keeps impressing in art duties thanks to his powerful, complex and energetic style that manages to give a lot of detail to every scenes he works on.
Really good issue, loving the current direction.
