Some thoughts about Midnighter and Apollo #3

Midnighter will have to go to hell to save the man he loves.

Apollo is trying to prove to Neron that he doesn't belong in his reign meanwhile Midnighter is fighting to go inside it.

Well, this worked a bit better than the last one.

Steve Orlando continues his ongoing story about the World's Finest Couple by focusing a bit more on Apollo and his mentality. This works in some aspects but not so much in others since Orlando tries to give an explanation for Apollo being in hell and while it tries to justify his actions, is still a kinda forced way to make readers believe it (Mind you, that might be on purpose since Apollo might be indeed trying to create a justification but we will have to see).

There's also more content here fortunately which is concentrated on both Apollo's fight against Neron and Midnighter trying to go back to hell and both sections are pretty entertaining based on characterization and action.

Fernando Blanco remains in art duties and his work is still perfect at depicting the kinetic nature of Midnighter's fight while also creating interesting settings.

Enjoyable despite of some flaws. Hope it improves in the next one though.
