Some thoughts about Midnighter #12

Is this the end for Midnighter?

Henry Bendix has created his own superhuman to gain control over everyone but even that might not be enough for the combined forces of Midnighter and Apollo.

I do hope that things are just getting started.

Steve Orlando delivers the final chapter of this series by creating an action-packed adventure full of great moments and dialogue. From the first page where the author pays homage to Warren Ellis'  The Authority you know that you're up for the a great time. Each fight scene offers an exciting experience which ultimately concludes by demonstrating how badass Midnighter is.

The good aspects not only end there since the character work is also pretty satisfying where even the supporting-cast like Amanda Waller receive nice scenes to show how competent they are. The highlight is the relationship between Apollo and the protagonist due that is connected to their early dynamic in this same book and shows how they have progressed over the course of the story. All comes full circle.

ACO and Hugo Petrus share art duties and their collaboration is really good looking with quite detailed panels and a pretty creative storytelling skill.

Excellent finale and makes me wish that this series would continue. DC better be planning more for the future.
