Alec Holland will have to find a way to become Swamp Thing again.
After being tricked by Matt Cable into giving him the power of the Green, Alec will need the help of some of the strangest beings from the world to defeat the new insane Swamp Thing.
Some things to like, others not so much.
Len Wein works in another chapter where he still focuses on the perspective of Alec Holland and how he has to handle the threat of a new Swamp Thing without his own powers. This creates an interesting direction that puts the protagonist in a journey into the mystic side of the DCU where he will have to meet several classic characters like the Phantom Stranger, Deadman and the Spectre who certainly fit with the history of Swamp Thing.
On the other hand, the narration can be a bit dated with some lines being out of place while third-person narration boxes appearing constantly which in some cases fit the creepy atmosphere but is still seems a bit off.
Kelley Jones continues in art duties and his work is still quite good, he's able to depict each supernatural character in a pretty unique way that are quite appropriate for the tone of the book.
I think I still enjoyed this despite of some complaints. Let's see how it ends now.
