Some thoughts about Suicide Squad's Most Wanted: Deadshot and Katana #5

The Suicide Squad still have to handle different missions.

Deadshot is trying to keep his daughter safe while Katana tries to make the team survive the attack of Kobra.

My opinions are getting pretty predictable about this series.

Brian Buccellato brings a new chapter where he demonstrates exactly how competent the character of Deadshot can be with several scenes showcasing his abilities in different ways while at the same time showing that he actually has a soft side concerning his daughter, is easily one of the most compelling depictions of the character recently. The rest of the cast is portrayed nicely and the action scenes are engaging.

Viktor Bogdanovic handles the artwork for this segment and his work is quite good looking with beautiful and expressive characters and solid storytelling. His style is starting to get pretty similar to Greg Capullo's which is quite the compliment.

On the other hand, Mike W. Barr's Katana story is not so good. I appreciate his desire for bringing back the classic characters from the Outsiders and how much he wants to develope the presence of Kobra but the plot, dialogue and characterization are not really unique nor particularly impressive, is a pretty bland story.

Diogenes Neves remains in art duties here and his work is still not as good as I would hope. Is not bad by any means but I think I prefer his previous projects.

Again, just worthy for Deadshot, don't care about Katana.
