Fate is about to reunite two people.
Khalid is still trying to save others despite of the dangers he will have to face and by doing so, he's proving to be worthy of the Helmet of Fate. However, another person might think otherwise.
Well, this issue was a pleasent surprise.
Paul Levitz arrives with a new chapter where he focuses on the usual aspects of this book, exploring the mythos of the character and Khalid's relationships with his family, love ones and friends. All of this depicted appropriately thankfully due that Levitz creates pretty natural dialogue in each different conversation and is not only between Khalid and the rest but also how the supporting cast interact with each other, it creates a pretty compelling world overall.
The mythology is nicely implemented thanks to all the different aspects that are injected into the story including how Doctor Fate's sees souls and the reappearance of an old enemy as well as more promises for the future.
Speaking of which, the last page reignited my interested for the series.
Sonny Liew remains in art duties and his work is still quite consistent at being unique with each layout presenting great storytelling and style.
Pretty enjoyable chapter and I'm excited for the next one.
