Some thoughts about Justice League 3001 #12

The Justice League's days are over.

Lady Stix is ready to finish the team while Teri is trying to reach Terry and make him come back to his senses but that might not be enough.

Boy, oh boy, what did I get myself into?

You see, I really liked this series when it started, I put in my Top Ten list from last year. Ultimately though, Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis proved that they didn't have a proper direction for the book and for that reason several of the developments that were supposed to happen like the conflict against Blue Beetle and Booster Gold, the Injustice League and the Fatal Five never occurred. It was a complete waste of potential.

This issue perfectly exemplifies that. Is just a big battle between the team and Lady Stix's army and while there are some interesting character moments, it never manages to give a satisfying sense of closure to any of them, much less to the story which ends with Teri and Batgirl being transported to present time which might be interesting but is not fitting here. The writers even mock the fact that some of the characters didn't appear because the book was cancelled which is not funny, is insulting.

Colleen Doran and Timothy Green II share art duties and their work is good looking with expressive characters and strong action scenes.

Aside from that, skip this. This series never managed to reach its full potential.
