Some thoughts about The Flash #51

The Flash will have to face one of his biggest challenges yet.

The Riddler has arrived to Central City and is decided to defeat Barry by exploiting his only weakness. Now, he will need to make a desperate choice to save everyone.

Okay, this wasn't bad as a whole..

Van Jensen delivers a new chapter where he focuses on the fight between The Flash and The Riddler and how both react based on their own skills. As I mentioned before, I don't like including Batman villains here because I feel that The Flash has enough solid antagonists to borrow another. However, Jensen comes with a solid reason why The Riddler wanted to face Barry of all people and while his overall plan is not that smart, is not stupid either.

The characterization is okay with Barry acting as he should by caring about the rest of the city over his own life and the supporting cast manage to have some moments here and there. Plus, there's a huge status quo change at the end of this issue and I wonder how Josh Williamson will follow it.

Gus Vasquez and Joe Eisma handle art duties and their work is not something that hurts your eyes but is not particularly beautiful at the same time.

Yeah, not impressive but not one of the worst.
