Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #32

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will have to learn the truth behind the new Superman.

The Trinity is about to enter China to get more answers but might be forced to face its own protectors, The Great Ten. However, even if they manage to solve their problems it doesn't mean that this is over.

Wait, did I miss a chapter from this crossover? The last one was from Superman/Wonder Woman I believe where they were still fighting against the new Superman and Ulysses and here they're flying completely safe and happy at the beginning.

Eh, whatever.

The story itself is not so good though. Peter Tomasi brings a new installment where he tries to reveal more about what caused the arrival of the new Superman and all of them need to travel to China to learn more about it. The thing is that Tomasi forces a battle between the team and The Great Ten, China's superheroes. I'm glad to have that group back but the way how they simply begin a fight with little provocation seemed a bit weird and just for the sake of creating conflict. Is a cliche at this point to see heroes fighting heroes with little reason behind.

Also, this is mostly a set-up for the upcoming title New Superman due that it was mostly to introduce the character that will star in that series while also giving very little info about him. It doesn't work very well in that regard.

Doug Mahnke continues in art duties and his work is stunning. The characters look beautiful and the action scenes are pretty intense. Easily the best aspect of this issue.

Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this. Everything seemed forced.
