Some thoughts about The Flash #26

The Flash is about to face a threat in the only place where his powers are not that useful.

Barry Allen is doing his best to capture the culprit of Dr. Caulson's murder. Unfortunately, the villain turns to be much more resourceful and dangerous than he initally thought and so will begin a conflict that could start putting innocent lives at risk.

First things first: That cover is a bit deceptive since Barry doesn't actually has many difficulties at dealing with that particular problem.

Second, this issue kicked ass. Christos Gage create this one-and-done story and does an excellent job at nailing Barry's characterization and his abilities as The Flash. It's necessary to mention that Gage starts introducing interesting real life concepts that affects Barry's powers in different ways while also presenting a competent threat for him to handle. Quite good job.

I have a small nitpick though, do you know who Dr. Caulson's was? Me either since he was introduced in this issue. When it was originally announced I actually thought that they were going to kill a member from the supporting cast. Not big deal anyway.

Neil Googe is on art this time and he captures the kinetic nature of the character perfectly on a pretty attractive yet cartoony style.

Immensily satisfying read, it's a shame this won't be the new creative team.
