Some thoughts about Red Lanterns #26

Getting rid of a dictator might prove to be more difficult than what Guy Gardner imagined.

The Red Lanterns' plans to infiltrate Gensui's headquarters failed and now they will have to deal with an unexpected attack that will reveal their weaknesses and the only way to survive it will be to sacrifice one of their own.

Another fantastic issue from this greatly improved series. Charles Soule delivers an engaging conclusion for this story in which one of the Red Lanterns will demonstrate to be more useful than he ever was, unfortunately it will also be his final moments. The weakness that Soule introduces for the team is quite well implemented, add to that some pretty strong character segments and a nice sub-plot about Atrocitus resurface and you have a pretty compelling read.

Jim Calafiore replaces Alessandro Vitti on pencils and he does an excellent job at it. His characters are really expressive and his storytelling techiniques are also wonderful.

Fantastic issue, it could be my favorite from this run so far.
