Some thoughts about Justice League Dark #26

Blight's influence continues to expand around the world.

John Constantine and the rest of the Justice League Dark barely escaped their encounter with Blight, fortunately this also allowed them to know where one of their former teammates is. However, this won't be as simple as it appears since the Sea King from the Crime Syndicate has somehow survived his apparent death.

I frankly wasn't expecting to love this title as much as I do now. J.M. DeMatteis does a fantastic job at developing each of these characters in distinct ways while also playing with some pretty profound themes during the issue. There's also some pretty good aspects of worldbuilding here and I really hope that they're properly used on future issue of Aquaman.

Also, the twist about the Sea King was really nice and moves the story adequately.

Mikel Janin continues on art and he's as consistent and competent as ever. The characters, scenarios and action are always wonderfully detailed and beautiful.

Excellent issue. Yes, Forever Evil: Blight may consist of many titles but if you have to pick one of them, this should be the one.
