Some thoughts about Green Lantern Corps #26

John Stewart is finally facing Hal Jordan for his most recent actions.

Everybody knows that Hal hasn't been really doing a good job as a leader and John will be forced to confront him to make him listen to reason. However, there's a bigger problem since the threat of the Durlans is growing and is starting to affect the members of the GLC.

After the Zero Year tie-in issue, Robert Venditti and Van Jensen focus once again in John and continue building his importance to the Corps and showing his true potential as an architect and a soldier. It was good to see that the events from Zero Year actually influenced John in current actions and of course, the best part was to see him punching Hal on the face.

It's necessary to add that the sub-plot about the Durlans has been developing nicely since the beginning of their run and it's great to watch how the newest members from the Corps react to it. Plus, we had the appearance of a fan-favorite character, Arisia.

Bernard Chang continues his outstanding and colorful work on the characters and recreating worlds in a quite appealing way.

Yet another good issue from this creative team. John is getting the respect he deserves.
