Some thoughts about Action Comics #1013

Who is going to take the offer next?

Lex Luthor is recruiting supervillains around the world and now he has arrived to Metropolis. Meanwhile, Superman is still trying to figure out who is Leviathan.

This is a pretty solid tie-in admitedly.

Brian Bendis offers a new installment where he incorporates tons of current DC events. This is pretty obvious when the issue opens with the typical Year of the Villain stuff but credit to Bendis, he actually handled differently from what you usually see. The best part is the investigation concerning Leviathan and this is told in an interesting manner because we see the perspectives from both Goode and Superman.

My favorite part is how Superman deals with the whole situation of facing a Leviathan agent since is perfectly in character. The implementation of obscure characters like Rose & Thorn is also nicely done because there's not much that Bendis can get wrong from her. Also, the issue ends with yet another Year of the Villain stuff but is tolerable at least.

Szymon Kudranski handles the art and is really solid with a beautiful style and clear storytelling.

Good read, hope things stay this way.
