A new story, a new promising beginning.
Robert Venditti opens a new arc by playing with some of the ramifications from the last one. The Green Lantern Corps react accordingly to the return of The Guardians of the Universe to power which allows for solid scenes of character development and also sets-up future stories nicely.
The best part comes half-way once that both Hal and Kyle face the Zod family and that battle goes as well as you expect. The way how the situation is portrayed is very desperate and pretty appropriate considering the difference in powers which prepares readers for what is about to come.
Rafa Sandoval handles the art and is beautiful thanks to his wonderful style that gets the best from characters and action scenes.
Solid beginning, excited for the next issue.
