Some thoughts about The Flash #38

The Flash's time in Iron Heights is over.

Barry's battle with Captain Cold is about to start and his only hope rests on the shoulders of a murderer.

Well, this was a satisfying conclusion for the most part.

Joshua Williamson brings the final chapter of this murder mystery by forcing The Flash to face several conflicts at the same time. The battle against Captain Cold starts pretty well with solid characterization and strong scenes, the way how it ends is also interesting due that it manages to create more development to one of Barry's villains and finally gives him the kind of complexity that was lacking during his first story. As usual, the conclusion creates new set-ups for upcoming stories and all of them seem pretty interesting.

I have a few issues here though, I'm not a fan of how Captain Cold turned out to be the culprit of Turbine's murder. Cold is not really a killer and he only reserves that kind of action for someone who truly deserves it, Turbine's actions didn't really deserve it. It makes the characterization a bit off.

Scott Kolins handles the art and is pretty solid during the action scenes and the storytelling is precise as well.

Good stuff aside from some problems, excited for the next one.
