Some thoughts about Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps #36

The Guardians need to create a new legacy.

The Controllers are about to end the lives of their rivals unless the Green Lantern Corps are able to stop them but even that might not be enough to finish their mission.

Well, this was a quite satisfying ending as a whole.

Robert Venditti concludes this little storyline by delivering the usual solid characterization and solid set-ups. The portrayals of all the Earth Lanterns is quite on-point as usual thanks to a good understanding of who they are at their core while also demonstrating how competent they are, this depiction shows them to be closer than ever.

Best of all is how the story progresses due that the writer is decided to go back to the classic mythos from the GLC including the choice the Guardians of the Universe make at the end and how the Controllers bring back one of the classic Green Lanterns' rivals which creates intriguing new directions for the series.

Jack Herbert and Jose Luis share the pencils and the result is a quite solid work with expressive characters and precise storytelling.

Nice read, excited for the future.
