Some thoughts about Transformers: Windblade #1

The world of Caminus is about to suffer the attack of the Combiners.

Windblade is the only being who can make both the people of Cybertron and Caminus to work together if they want to stop this battle that is threatining their whole race. Is she able to accomplish her mission?

This issue not only marks the beginning of a new series focusing on one of the new Transfomers properties but it also serves as the second chapter of Combiner Wars, the biggest event for the franchise this year. So does it delivers?

Well, I would say it does a solid job so far.

Mairghread Scott's has experience writing most of the characters who appear in this book due to her work in the last Windblade miniseries and she demonstrates it by portraying every member from the cast adequately.

Most importantly though, she explores the world of Caminus and what makes it different from Cybertron including its own mythos and people.

As continuation of Combiner Wars it also works due that we see the ramifications of the previous chapter in the main Transformers series and how it has a resolution here.

Sarah Stone is on art duties and her work is stunning with a quite expressive and cartoony style that showcases the character's emotions perfectly.

Satisfying first entry, hoping the best for the rest of the series.
