Superman will have to learn what it means to be human for a day.
After using all of his abilities in the fight against Ulysses, Clark has found himself powerless and now he will have to keep helping people despite of his impediment while also trusting Jimmy Olsen to keep his secret safe.
This issue marks the conclusion of Geoff Johns's little run in this series and is also probably one of the best stories he has written here.
The tale is focused on both Clark and Jimmy and how their relationship has changed now that Jimmy knows that Clark is Superman. The character moments and quite logical and strong considering the kind of persons they are and their dynamic developes quite nicely.
Johns also utilizes this stand-alone story to explore the idea of how a powerless Superman deals with his usual problems and is quite well-executed in that regard, especially in one of the scenes at the end. Not to mention that it was also interesting to know that Clark doesn't only hears trouble whenever he's in his normal state.
John Romita Jr. continues to handle the art and his storytelling skills are quite precise by interpreting all the moments from the script pretty well.
Solid conclusion for a solid run. Sad to see it go.
Can't wait what the new creative has in store for superman.
