Some thoughts about Superman #16

The final fight for the Multiverse is here.

The Supermen and Superwomen from the different realities will need to battle a being who actually wants to save them but they realize he's doing it the wrong way.

This actually reminded me a lot of Final Crisis.

Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason bring the final chapter of their Multiplicity arc by putting the Justice Incarnate against a overly powerful common enemy. There are a lot of aspects to appreciate here if you're a fan of Grant Morrison's work like how music is what connects the different universes and is the main key to victory. The appearances of the multiple versions of Superman also support that comparison.

However, is also pretty similar to Final Crisis in the worst ways. The pacing can be erratic at times jumping from place to place constantly while the importance of music always seem hilariously pretentious.

Tony Daniel and Clay Mann handle the artwork and the result is pretty consistent for the most part with expressive characters and strong action scenes.

Not bad but not great, pretty much what I've felt about this whole arc.
