Some thoughts about Supergirl #6

Is this the end or the beginning for Supergirl?

The Cyborg Superman has caused destruction everywhere and Kara will have to remember what is important to stop him once for all.

This overly long story is finally over and to be fair this is at least a satisfying ending.

Steve Orlando delivers the finale by focusing on classic Supergirl aspects like how she inspires people to become better but this time with a little twist. The characterization is pretty solid with Kara pretty much acting the way she does in the show which is more or less accurate to the usual characterization of the heroine. There are several heartwarming moments and the last page offers an interesting plot-point for the future.

That being said, I still believe this story could have been told in fewer issues without losing anything. It was way longer than it deserved and I hope this is not repeated in future arcs.

Brian Ching remains in art duties and again, his art is not particularly great due to the angular faces and rough style but at times it was decent.

Not bad but doesn't compensate for how many issues the plot took.
