Some thoughts about Red Hood and the Outlaws #7

What is Bizarro's fate?

Jason is still wondering what to do with his new ally since he can get out of control pretty easily and his decision might not be the best.

Here we have an one-and-done story and thankfully is a really good one.

Scott Lobdell plays with the ramifications of the last arc, particularly the nature of Bizarro and how that can affect the whole group dynamic. The characterization is pretty solid with the writer quickly drawing parallels between Jason and Bizarro which really work at some points and create interesting portrayals for the two. Artemis also receives a solid depiction despite that she wasn't the focus.

The theme of the issue can get pretty dark at times with the nature of Bizarro being judged and Jason contemplating that he might need to do something terrible to stop him. However, it can also get pretty heartwarming towards the end.

Mirko Colak handles the artwork and he's sadly no Dexter Soy. The character models can look pretty rough at times lacking any sense of beauty but his storytelling skills are solid and he creates a great setting during the final pages.

Yet another solid issue, Lobdell is doing some of his best work here.
