The Orphans of X are about to change.
Laura and her family are about to stop the people who have been hunting them but to do so, they will have to make a complete new direction.
Well, this was a pretty interesting ending all right.
Tom Taylor brings the final chapter of this storyline by creating a brand new set-up. The characterization is once again pretty good thanks to the wonderful moments that Laura shares with the rest of her family (the part where everyone show their claws brought a huge smile to my face), the witty and natural dialogue complements the interactions between the characters a lot and Gabby continues to shine in every scene she appears.
The best part comes at the end where Laura refuses to take part in the violence that has defined her people for so long which not only shows how much her character has progressed in this book but also sets-up a compelling new direction for the series due to the new objective that she has decided to handle.
Juann Cabal remains in art duties and his work is still beautiful thanks to detailed and expressive character models and powerful storytelling.
Solid conclusion. Hope the title continues this way.
