Can Batman and Wonder Woman fight an everlasting war?
Diana has come to contact Bruce to help her stop a horde that could destroy everything without knowing the sacrifices both will have to do.
Okay, this one wasn't so bad.
Tom King offers a new storyline focusing on a team-up between Batman and Wonder Woman and at the very least, he portrays it solidly. The interactions between the two are entertaining and on-point (although Diana seems to be more conflictive than usual at points) while characters like Catwoman also receive solid scenes based on the ongoing plot-point of her engagement.
On the other hand, this can still be pretty flawed and the dialogue is one of the biggest issues as usual. The characters don't talk like human beings and in many cases things just end-up being awkward. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the "Batman/Wonder Woman" thing so this didn't really work for me.
Joelle Jones' artwork is glorious though, the action scenes are wonderful and she depicts a stunning Diana. Great stuff.
Again, not terrible but not good either, let's see how it continues.
