How far can Deathstroke go?
Slade has committed terrible things during his life and now the chance of redemption might be too much for him or at least that's what other people think.
Boy, this went pretty complex and creepy as expected.
Christopher Priest offers a new chapter where he continues to play with classic moments of Deathstroke's history and let's just say that he's not afraid of using the most problematic aspects of it. Take for example the relationship between Slade and Terra, something that is still present here except that Priest creates an interesting twist from it that actually fits the character much more, Slade didn't slept with Terra because he wanted to but apparently because she was useful to him (which actually makes it much worse if that's possible). This definitely helps to cement the idea that Slade is truly a bad person.
And several other segments are progressing as well like the fun scenes with the New Super-Man that handle a bit of social commentary along with the character work that from the conversation between Slade and Joey. Is all well-implemented.
Diogenes Neves handles the art and is quite solid thanks to his vibrant style and expressive characters.
Great read, hope the next one arrives soon.
