Cave Carson's life is finally coming together.
All the memories from Cave's wife are coming back to her and just in time when they need to stop the horde of creatures that are about to kill them.
I guess this marks the conclusion of the long-running storyline that started since the beginning of this book and is a satisfying one in that regard.
Gerard Way and Jon Rivera deliver a new installment where they focus on the usual emotional and bizarre moments. The character work is quite solid due to the surprisingly strong scenes that exist between Cave and his family, is pretty obvious how much they mean to him and how the return of one of them can create such a deep connection between all the members ofthe cast.
The strange adventures are weirdly and successfully connected to the more human segments and that's why this book is so good at what it does and probably one of the best examples of the DC Young Animal line, it manages to make the creative ideas mix well with the actual story. The resolution of this arc is appropriate and the future seems promising.
Michael Avon Oeming's artstyle remains as perfect for this book as usual thanks to his flexible and distinctive pencils that get the best from every scene.
Pretty enjoyable, hope the future gets even better.
