The Hard Traveling Heroes are together again.
Ollie is still looking for the Ninth Circle and to uncover their plans he will need the help of the best friend he has, Hal Jordan.
Well, some of the usual problems are present here.
Let's start for some of the positives. Ben Percy actually makes the relationship between Hal and Ollie pretty enjoyable, some of the dialogue is a bit heavyhanded and on the nose as you would expect but the interaction between the two is accurate at the very least with both of their personalities contrasting nicely with one another.
Now, let's start with the negatives which as always, are pretty abundant.
How did Hal and Ollie became this close to begin with? I know that Percy tries to implement the pre-Flashpoint continuity as much as possible but that has shown how weak this book has been as a whole since we're supposed to believe that all these characters are close Ollie despite that there wasn't a proper set-up nor development for it. Hell, the last time Hal and Ollie met they were barely close to one another and now we're supposed to buy that they're best friends. The erratic pacing, lack of content and the fact that the Ninth Circle are still the villains don't help matters.
At least Otto Schmidt's artwork continues to shine everytime with a wonderful and energetic style that gets the best of every scenes as nonsensical as they are.
Nope, still not working. I guess I'm just used to this.
