Who is the other child of Zeus?
A mysterious man has returned to town and has called the attention of Grail, Darkseid's daughter and all of this is strangely connected to Wonder Woman.
A new storyarc has begun and I would say is... interesting enough at the very least.
This issue also marks the return of James Robinson to DC Comics after a long break due to his departure from the Earth 2 series (which suffered a lot due to his absense) and this definitely feels like a James Robinson comic all right. The guy always had a pretty distinctive type of writing that allowed for intriguing premises and compelling developments over the course of the story, this is not much different since the way how Darkseid's daughter and Zeus' son (who is pretty familiar to DC fans) are included into the plot makes sense and is shown in an exciting manner that promises an engaging story.
THE PROBLEM is that if you know something about Robinson's work is that his dialogue is one of his biggest flaws. Again, this is no different here since the way how the characters speak is hardly natural and can become very noticeable at times, mind you, not to the point where it absolutely ruins the read but is hard to not paying attention at some of the weird lines. That being said, the characterization for the protagonists, Wonder Woman included, is on-point at least.
Carlo Pagulayan handles the art and is really beautiful, full of expressive and stunning characters and strong storytelling.
Not bad, certainly more interesting than the last arc, let's see where it goes.
