Can Constantine realize what actually happened?
John is literally dwelling in his memories to find out who or what caused the recent murder to incriminate him but what he finds could cause even more deaths.
This story is getting more and more intriguing.
Tim Seeley offers a new chapter where he expands into the premise from the first one and deliver new surprises. The initial twist of John being possessed by a mysterious entity that made him commit a murder is further explored to create even more twists that gives a complete new context to a few scenes from the last issue. It certainly presents a compelling tale that continues to shock the reader.
As any classic Constantine story, we see some flashbacks to his past that are clearly connected to his current case and, as other classic Constantine stories, this also ends-up with people hating him and creating angst for the character. Mind you, despite of how overused these themes are, I feel like Seeley injects enough personality and creativity into the story to forgive them.
Jesus Merino remains in art duties and as usual, he's not the best nor the worst. His style can be appropriate at times but doesn't go beyond that and while the characters and settings are pretty detailed, they're not particularly beautiful.
Still, a pretty satisfying issue. Interested in more.
