The fight never stops for the Birds of Prey.
Barbara has sent Dinah and Helena into an excursion while she's trying to fight crime alongside Poison Ivy and Catwoman but all of them will face more difficulties than they expected.
I guess the new direction begins here and is a satisfying one so far.
Julie and Shawna Benson deliver a stand-alone story that is full of fun moments. Dividing the plot in two segments, we see how Barbara is dealing with her new status quo as Oracle without losing her identity of Batgirl. This particular section works fine due to the typical yet enjoyable crime fighting moments and adding both Ivy and Selina into the mix makes things much better and makes me wonder what will they contribute to the future.
The highlight of the story is the section focusing on Dinah and Helena since both have really entertaining interactions which is helped by the natural and funny dialogue along with a supernatural story that clearly doesn't take itself too seriously. I wouldn't mind more tales like this.
Marcio Takara handles the artwork and is pretty solid with a vibrant style and beautiful characters.
Quite decent read, hope this marks the beginning of a better run.
