Some thoughts about Nightwing #29

Is Nightwing ready for the Dark Multiverse?

The creatures from the other dimension are coming to Gotham and is up to Dick to lead everyone to save the city. However, this is only the beginning.

This might be the first time I didn't like Tim Seeley's work here.

The premise of the Dark Multiverse is a pretty interesting one but also provides a lot of opportunities for a chaotic result. As usual, Seeley uses his knowledge of DC history to exploit the concept and create several references about the multiverse and continuity. His characterization of a lot of the cast seems on-point and enjoyable.

On the other hand, the pacing suffers A LOT. The story jumps from time to time, from segment to segment so frequently that it gets obnoxious and breaks to flow of the read constantly. Is quite erratic in its storytelling sadly.

Paul Pelletier handles the artwork and he's solid as usual with expressive characters and great detail in the settings.

Shame that this ended this way, hoping better for the next one.
