Some thoughts about Suicide Squad #26

Is up to the Suicide Squad to save Gotham now.

Heroes and villains have met with the same purpose and they will be forced to fight against their own friends if they want to survive.

Welp, this went as well as a Rob Williams story can go.

Is not like there are particularly bad aspects in this Metal tie-in. In fact, there are actually some good things to say about the kind of style that Williams go for, the dialogue can be snappy at times and the characterization is respectful in a few cases. The story continues the crossover appropriately with an adequate pace.

That being said, there are still the classic problems. While the dialogue can be witty at times, at some points it can be simply awkward with characters, especially Harley, talking in weird ways just for the sake of being weird (and considering this is Harley we're talking about, that's saying something). Plus, the characterization can be off in some cases like the relationship between Harley and Ivy (which is treated as a best friend thing instead of a lovers deal) and in Green Arrow's voicewhich is simply too naive.

Stjepan Sejic's artwork was the reason why I picked this issue actually and he didn't disappoint at least. His style is wonderful and the way how he depicts Harley and Ivy is magnificent, he elevates the script quite a few times as well.

Not the best but not the worst, hope the next chapter is better though.
