Some thoughts about Supergirl #13

Supergirl will have to demonstrate why the people need her.

It has been revealed to the world that Kara has been keeping the Cyborg Superman and everyone is getting against her and that's far from her biggest problem.

This little storyarc concludes and I've found it enjoyable enough.

Steve Orlando delivers a new chapter where he continues a lot of running plot-points he has created since the beginning. Several different characters and ideas are being explored here including the connection between Kara and her father as well as the fate of the D.E.O. and how that is going to affect Kara's future. In terms of story and plot progression the issue felt pretty packed.

The best part was the exploration of classic Supergirl themes about kindness and compassion to everyone which is fairly typical but accurate. I have been critical of Orlando's run but at the very least he understands the character.

One of the reasons why I liked this so much was Robson Rocha's artwork, he has a quite beautiful, expressive, detailed and energetic style that I think is perfect for the book, much better than Ching's angular creations without a doubt.

Not bad at all, hope it continues this way.
