Alex is has returned to life and he's decided to mess with his ex-girlfriend's head as much as he can. Meanwhile Chase's life is in peril due to the attack caused by Death Locket and this will force Nico to react in the worst way possible.
A Runaways focused issue! What more can I ask for?
I have been a fan of these kids since their first series written by Brian K.Vaughand and I'm glad to see one of the most important characters from that time being brought back. Nico's action after it are pretty justifiable considering their history and having a little focus on Chase didn't hurt at all.
The story progresses adequately and a lot of the other members from the cast receive a decent amount of characterization. Plus, that surprise in the last page was pretty nice.
I have a little complaint though, I don't think that Alex was this kind of bastard to Nico in the past. Sure, he betrayed the team but he did it because he considered it the best course of action, not to mention that he wasn't the fast-talking kind of guy who appears here.
Kev Walker returns to art duties and his work continues to be one of the best aspects from this series thanks to his expressive characters and intense action.
Another satisfactory issue, I wish we could get more of this kind of series.
