Some thoughts about Green Lantern #33

Is Hal Jordan able to lead the Green Lantern Corps to victory?

The Durlans are going to take all the energy from the planet Zezzen and if that occurs not even the Corps will be strong enough to stop them. Now, it's up to Hal to use everything he has learned during his time as a leader to defeat their enemies but even that might not be enough to win this war.

This is exactly the kind of chapter that any crossover event should have.

Robert Venditti has made Hal Jordan pass his test with this issue demonstrating that he's a quite competent leader of the Green Lantern Corps, the character work up to this point has been fantastic and the progression has come pretty naturally.

Not only that but also a lot of members from the cast received a share in the spotlight. The dialogue works excellently here, every line delivered helped to set the mood or depict a good character moment for the cast.

Plus, there was some interesting aspects of worldbuilding here too concerning the planet Zezzen and their inhabitants. No complaints at all.

Billy Tan's artwork depicted all the scenes perfectly, his style was especially great at portraying the different aliens who appeared here and the battles.

Fantastic issue but it's not over yet, the conclusion will arrive next week on Green Lantern Corps.
