Some thoughts about Green Arrow #33

Can Green Arrow handle his own sister?

Emiko has returned to Oliver's life decided to become the new Green Arrow no matter what even if she has to fight a bunch of supervillains to prove that she's worthy of wearing the hood. However, Ollie believes that no other person but him can use the name due to what ocurred in the past.

Oh my God, I love Emiko already.

Seriously, this kid started as pretty much a complete little psycho and now she's definitely going to become one of my favorite characters in comics. She's incredible entertaining like a girl version of Damian Wayne.

Now with that out of the way, let's talk about the story, it was fantastic. Jeff Lemire presents an interesting argument for Ollie to not allow any other to use the Green Arrow name and it connects to one of the characters from the story of course. Plus, the rest of the cast had great moments during the story, the characterization was excellent.

I have one complaint though, how was Ollie able to do that to Brick? He's supposed to be metahuman, although maybe not in the New 52 anymore and I don't know how to feel about that.

And of course, this wouldn't be the great series it is if the writer didn't deliver a surprise at the end.

Andrea Sorrentino continues to deliver a wonderful work in this series with his greatly consistent, beautiful and creative pencils. The way he depicts characters is beautiful and all of them are expressive enough when they're needed to be. He's accompanied by Marcelo Maiolo whose colors make the artwork completely perfect.

Best issue of the week so far. Then again, when is that not the case?
