Superman has finally succumbed to Doomsday's influence but is he truly lost?
Lana Lang and Steel still believe that they can save Clark despite that he's producing destruction everywhere. However, thanks to Supergirl's help, Clark will realize that it's not necessarily bad to lose a bit of control, especially if he had to handle villains while doing so.
This is the beginning of another miniarc inside of the "Doomed" crossover called "Superdoom" and it's quite an appropriate name.
Greg Pak as usual concentrates in Clark's characterization by trying to implement the Doomsday persona into it to explore more of Clark's own personality and it works perfectly. Pak present some pretty interesting points about why this might not be as bad as it appears while also creating interesting threats for Superman to fight in the meantime.
Lana's portrayal continues to be quite on-point too, the author has truly made her a compelling character with her own personality and motivations. Plus, this issue progressed much more the story than before, it's good to know that it's actually going somewhere.
Aaron Kuder draws this issue completely and my God, this issue becomes much better thanks to him. His work is powerful, creative, expressiver and gorgeous, every scene is magnificent.
One of the best issue from this series to date, don't miss it.
