Can the Forever People survive their trip to Earth?
The recently arrived New Gods will not only have to face the problems that exist in this little planet but also their most personal ones. However, event that won't be as bad as a new threat that could destroy them along with a person who is pretty familiar to them.
The first issue was a solid starting point for this series, does the second one follows the same trend?
So far, I would say pretty much. While it was disappointing to see one of the most important factors from this series, Keith Giffen's storytelling, missing from this issue, it was still well-told. Both Dan Didio and Keith Giffen remain as the writers and their work still feels like an old-school story reminiscing the energey, creativity and passion from the past.
The story is progressing nicely so far, the threats are starting to be introduced while the presence of one of the protagonists has also been revealed, although is unfortunate that he just has a little appearance. It's also a nice character-centric issue that gives development to most of the members of the cast.
I already mentioned that it was disappointing to not see Giffen's pencils in this chapter but Tom Grummet's artwork works pretty well too. His style also reminisces the old-school look but it doesn't look dated at all and it depicts all the scenes perfectly.
Another solid issue, I like where this series is going.
