Can Ms. Marvel save her friend from the hands of The Inventor?
As usual, Kamala will have to try to make her family happy by behaving like a good Muslim girl while also trying to save her city from a mad scientist. However, she might have a bit of help from one of her own heroes.
Oh my God, this title simply can do no wrong.
The story that G. Willow Wilson brings us this time follows the same trends that she has been using since the beginning which are about Kamala trying to balance her normal and superhero lives but it's so well executed and so full of charm that this won't bother at all.
Kamala continues to be a character that you just want to see succeed due to how incredibly adorable and likable she is. It's even better when she mets one of her favorite superheroes here, the author knows a lot about the whole geek culture and makes a lot of references to videogames and fanfiction in this interaction and it works perfectly. Not to mention that this is one of my favorite portrayals from the character who appears here.
While it's a shame that Adrian Alphona is not drawing this issue, Jacob Wyatt's pencils are perfect for the kind of style that was set for the ongoing artist since Wyatt continues to give the series a kind of indie feel that makes it pretty distinctive from others.
Fantastic issue, it might be one of my favorites from this series yet.
