Miles Morales is forced to deal with the same problems that Peter Parker had to deal with, no matter if those cost his life.
Norman Osborn is alive once again and that means bad news for the whole worlds. However, that might not be the biggest problem that Miles will have to handle since every person he loves keep abandoning him and now he will have to confront Osborn the same way Peter did.
Well, I see they're already teasing the merge between the main Marvel universe and the Ultimate universe. Brian Bendis does a nice job at planting the seeds for such event and creating enough sub-plots for upcoming storylines as well.
There are some pretty good character moments here, especially the ones concerning Miles' interactions with his best friend and girlfriend and unfortunately, it might end the way you expect. Osborn is also presented as a believable threat which is based mostly on his history.
There are some complaints though, the narration was pretty overwritten at times. Bendis unfortunately is victim of his own flaws once again in terms of dialogue and how characters speak in a way that they talk a lot but don't deliver enough information.
David Marquez brings one of the best artworks from Marvel thanks to his expressive, semi-realistic and gorgeous style that makes the script much stronger.
Solid issue, it had a few flaws but it was still worthy.
