The Justice League has been dying and come back to life for a while now but can they continue doing it after the most recent events?
The Five have finally joined together to try to destroy the team, each of its members represent a powerful threat on their own, how will the Justice League be able to confront them? Especially considering that the identity of one of them has finally been revealed and it will change things forever.
First things first, I must say that I totally didn't see that coming.
The second thing is that the characters act like they usually do. Superman is the jerk, Batman hates him, etc. However, is good to know that both Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis recognize that and they're actually presenting new aspects from their personalities and hopefully they will continue exploring different factors in the future.
The dialogue continues to be good and pretty funny despite of being in serious situations and it actually complements the plot solidly which, thankfully continues to deliver a lot of content.
But it bears to repeat: I totally didn't see that coming. It's a pretty interesting twist and one that makes me intrigued for the fate of the group.
Howard Porter continues to deliver some of the best aspects from this title with his powerful and creative artwork that has a lot of complexity and depth in his characters and settings.
Really surprising issue and gives me more reasons to keep reading this book.
