All what Larfleeze ever wanted was everything, is that that much too ask?
Larfleeze and G'Nort are fighting for their lives against a group of cosmic entities with the power of Gods. However, not even such combined forces could be able to stop the greediest creature that ever existed.
This is the final issue from one of the funniest and most chaotic titles that DC was publishing and one that certainly will be missed.
Whenever people complaint about the lack of fun titles in DC Comics I wonder if they're actually checking the books that are being released since Larfleeze truly belonged to that category and nobody give it a fair chance to succeed.
Seriously, since issue 1 this book has offered a quite frenetic and hilarious read, sometimes it could have been overwritten and rough but overall it was a series that was quite unique among the rest.
This issue was no different since Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis have reunited all of the concepts both created for the title in a pretty exciting last battle that was full of the classic banter that you would expect from these creators. In fact you might appreciate even more all the ideas and characters they brought to the book once that you see them all together.
The characterization has been pretty good so far and I'm glad to see that they have created a nice connection between Larfleeze and G'Nort. However, I'm disappointed that I will never get a The Adventures of Pulsar Stargrave: Cosmic Haberdasher, oh well.
Scott Kolins delivers one of the most vibrant and visually appealing endings for this series, there's a lot of detail and power on his pencils that made this title really exciting to check.
Satisfying ending and I'm sad to see it go.
