Some thoughts about Green Arrow #32

Can Green Arrow save his city after he left it unprotected for so long?

Oliver hasn't been able to spend much time in Seattle due to his whole ordeal with The Outsiders and now that he's back he finds out that Richard Dragon along with a group called The Longbow Hunters has claimed the city as their own. Will Ollie be able to stop them or will he need the aid of another person more apt for the job?

This is the beginning of the storyline "Green Arrow: Broken", after expending a while focusing on the myths they created in the previous arc "The Outsiders War", the creative team promised to go back to GA's more classic vigilante roots and so far I would they're succeeding.

Jeff Lemire brings a quite strong story where he start explaining what exactly happened between Oliver Queen and John Diggle as well as the reason why they no longer work together, it's actually a pretty good plot-point that I'm sure they will continue to explore in following issues.

However, I'm sure that you people are more interested in the villains. Red Dart (RED F*CKING DART!) has made her official New 52 debut and she's glorious, we also see the returned antagonist from the Zero Year tie-in, Killer Moth back in action. It was great to see one of my most requested villains again in the form of Brick, he didn't do much in this issue sadly and I hope that the creative team explore more a character with such potential in the future.

I also need to mention that Lemire gave a reason why this Richard Dragon is so different than his previous incarnation and it makes total sense.

Plus, that last page made me chuckle.

Andrea Sorrentino is back as consistently one of the best artists in the industry with his gorgeous pencils and refined storytelling skills, his villains redesigns are wonderful as well as the action he portrays. Marcelo Maiolo continues to provide the dark colors that complement this artwork so well.

Excellent issue but that's something that you should expect at this point. Pick of the week for me, that's also expected.
