Some thoughts about Futures End #5

Is Firestorm the culprit of much more than the death of Green Arrow?

Both Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch hate each other after the death of Oliver Queen and they're not willing to keep working together. Meanwhile, Grifter is still being hold as hostage by Faraday and the mystery of the Earth 2 refugees is slowly being discovered.

First of all, this is mostly a character focused issue that explores more about the protagonists than about the current situation.

However, that doesn't has to be so bad. Firestorm's character is being developed and they finally explain the reason behind Ronnie's attitude as well as the mystery about Earth 2 and I must say that it was good to see a previously ignored character from that world being utilized here, if only she was used on the proper title.

The Grifter/Faraday segments continue to be pretty enjoyable, it seems like the authors have a lot of fun writing them. Plus, another classic DC character appears with the kind of personality you may expect.

Jesus Merino is in charge of the pencils and he actually does a pretty solid job, not particularly impressiver or distinctive but it's certainly nice.

Good issue overall, hope that the plot progresses a bit more in the next one.
