Some thoughts about Red Hood: Outlaw #46

How can Red Hood and his team stop one of the worst beings in existence?

Trigon is willing to return and now Jason has no choice but escape. However, one of them will have to face him anyway.

Better than the last one at least.

Scott Lobdell offers a new installment where he explores a few ideas from the past. All the mythos from the All-Caste are returning including Proctor, Essence and their connection to Artemis and Jason which is nice to see since I always felt they had potential for more worldbuilding.

That being said, there's not much beyond that. There's plot progression and backstories being explained but unfortunately, everything lacks a certain depth that I expect from this series. It might be because there's not the usual character work here and is mostly focusing on taking the characters from one place to another but I can't help but think this is mostly filler.

Paolo Pantalena and Travis Mercer handle the pencils and their work is pretty solid with vibrant scenes and kinetic action.

Decent enough but I hope the next one offers something different.
