Some thoughts about Hawkman #24

Hawkman and Hawkwoman are together again.

Shayera has spent all this time trying to save Carter but now both of them will be at hand of one of their previous lives.

This series returns to its usual decompressed self.

Robert Venditti offers a new installment which is not as good as the last one sadly. The issue does have its positive points like the dynamic between Carter and Shayera which is solidly handled in their personal conversations and in combat. The chapter even offers a few cool moments for the characters.

Unfortunately, this is a pretty light read as usual. The story is mostly dedicated to fight scenes which leads to yet another connection to Carter's life as a Deathbringer which at this point is getting repetitive. I prefer the one and done stories about different previous incarnations.

Fernando Pasarin's artwork is pretty good though with expressive characters and strong storytelling.

Decent enough but needs more content next time.
