Some thoughts about The Silencer #8

The Silencer can't even take a simple vacation.

Hope believes that she has finally found peace with her family in another place but her enemies are still looking for her and this time they might be closer than she imagines.

Well, this one offered more content as a whole but the problems are starting to get more noticeable.

Dan Abnett brings a new installment where he continues the classic formula of this book, Hope has to defeat the mercenaries who are coming after her while keeping it a secret from her family. Mind you, this makes this whole plot a bit repetitive at this point since this is pretty much what has been happening since issue 1 and at some point I just think that is more convenient for Hope to tell the truth to her family and try to work with that.

The villains are interesting enough though. The current antagonist has a pretty set of skills, skills that manage to put Hope and her family in a much bigger danger and makes me wonder what's going to happen next and let's pray that they change the status quo a bit.

Patrick Zircher handles the art and is solid but I must say that I prefer Viktor Bogdanovic's work and is especially noticeable due to the differences between the cover and interiors. Zircher's art is more reminiscent of JRJR's early work here but is more polished as a whole at least.

Some issues aside, things are starting to look better. Let's see how they change.
