Some thoughts about Catwoman/Sylvester & Tweety Special #1

Who can save Sylvester and Tweety?

A group of witches are looking for the proper way to execute their spell and that includes talking cat and bird which automatically will involve Catwoman obviously.

The Looney Tunes crossovers continue and thankfully, I believe that Gail Simone also managed to create a good story from it.

The story opens with the classic Looney Tunes witches preparing a mysterious plan that could alter the fate of the world. Mind you, the story can be pretty convoluted due that it forces Sylvester and Tweety in a way that doesn't really make a lot of sense, particularly because one has to eat the other to be actually successful. That being said, the logic behind the story is not really that important since the plot is pretty bizarre by itself and what matters is what happens next because of how hilarious it is.

Catwoman is not the only DC character being involved here, far from it in fact since Black Canary is also one of the protagonists and many, MANY heroes and villains from DCU make a cameo here and the best part is that all of them have a connection to cats and birds and is cool to see characters like Catman, Hawkman, Bronze Tiger, Raven, Cheetah among others having a role here. To be honest the story should have been called: "DC Universe/Sylvester & Tweety".

Inaki Miranda's artwork is gorgeous, probably one of his best efforts in a while. Full of vibrant characters and settings.

There's another segment written by Shea Fontana which is decent enough due to its cartoony nature. Walter Carzon handles the artwork and is pretty solid thanks its style that is very reminiscent to the classic cartoons.

Really enjoyable. Hope the rest are just like this.
