Some thoughts about Red Hood & the Outlaws Annual #2

Who is the only person who can help Red Hood?

Arsenal managed to save Jason just at the last moment and now both will need to regain their own confidence.

Once again, I'm pretty surprised about how consistent this series is.

Scott Lobdell brings a new installment where he focuses primarely on character work and does it in one the best ways possible. The relationship between Jason and Roy is revisited here and is as endearing as always, if there's something that Lobdell has always been good at is creating a believable friendship between these two, one that shows how much they care for each other and exemplifies great development which is particularly obvious once you reach the end.

The references to previous events also reinforce the theme of the story including the appearance of their old headquarters and another close person to them, the exploration of the friendship between Roy and Killer Croc and the return of an old villain and her family.

Clayton Henry and Neil Googe handle the art and is pretty solid thanks to its fluidity, expressive characters and clear storytelling.

Good read, hope the next one arrives soon.
